New Ministers for UVA Provincial council take oaths.-Video

The Uva Provincial Council ministers took oaths before President Mahinda Rajapaksa this morning.

Uva Provincial Council Chief Minister Shashindra Rajapaksa was sworn-in as the minister of Finance and Policy Planning, Law and Peace, Education, Local Government, Land, Cultural and Social Welfare, Rural Infrastructure Development and Construction.

Anura Vidanagamage was sworn-in as the Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation, Livestock Development, Fresh Water Fishing Industry and Tourism.

Kumarasiri Rathnayake was sworn-in as the minister of Health, Indigenous Medicine, Child Protection and Women Affairs.

Sendil Thondaman was sworn-in as the minister of Road Development, Housing, Water Supply, and Estate Infrastructure Development while Chamara Sampath Dasanayake was sworn-in as the minister of Sports, Youth Affairs, Power and Energy, Textile and Cooperative.

The UPFA members elected to the Uva Provincial Council including the Chief Minister took oaths before the President recently but the swearing-in of ministers were postponed.

Apart from the Chief Ministerial post, the Moneragala district received one more ministerial post while the Badulla district received three ministerial posts.
