CWC Leader Arumugam Thondaman has stated that his party would give unconditional support to UPFA led by President Mahinda Rajapaksa in forthcoming elections.
He has stated his views when a group of CWC delegates met the President at Temple Trees this morning.
Meanwhile the Uva Provincial Council ministers took oath before President Mahinda Rajapaksa this morning.
Uva Provincial Council Chief Minister Shashindra Rajapaksa was sworn-in as the minister of Finance and Policy Planning, Law and Peace, Education, Local Government, Land, Cultural and Social Welfare, Rural Infrastructure Development and Construction.
Anura Vidanagamage was sworn-in as the Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation, Livestock Development, Fresh Water Fishing Industry and Tourism.
Kumarasiri Rathnayake was sworn-in as the minister of Health, Indigenous Medicine, Child Protection and Women Affairs.
Sendil Thondaman was sworn-in as the minister of Road Development, Housing, Water Supply, and Estate Infrastructure Development while Chamara Sampath Dasanayake was sworn-in as the minister of Sports, Youth Affairs, Power and Energy, Textile and Cooperative.
Meanwhile Saliya Sumedha Silva who was elected the vice chairman of the Uva Provincial Council recently resigned from the post as he was not appointed a minister.
Saliya Sumedha Silva told our news team that he would resign even from the Provincial Council membership if he would find it difficult to fulfill the aspirations of people within the Provincial council.
