UN appreciates progress in Human Development in Sri Lanka

The UN states that Sri Lanka has achieved a significant progress in Human Development.

According to the UN Resident coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative in Sri Lanka Subinay Nandy, Sri Lanka is addressing current development challenges in an appropriate manner.

He further said that Sri Lanka should set its sights on eliminating differences in order to achieve permanent Human Development.

The UN envoy elaborated on the matter while addressing the dissemination event of the annual Global Human Development Report.

UNDP Resident Representative Subinay Nandy reiterated that the citizens and the society can be empowered through a broader approach to Human Development.
