An employee of NTC admitted to hospital following Chairman's assault-Video
An employee allegedly assaulted by National Passenger Transport Commission Chairman Renuka Perera has been admitted to the Colombo East Base Hospital.
The victim who was assaulted is the Commission’s SLFP Trade Union member Chaminda Kumara Perera.
Chaminda Kumara thus assaulted is currently receiving treatment at ward Number 7 of the Colombo East Base Hospital.
The Commission chairman had assaulted office Clerk, Chaminda Kumara, in his office.
The allegation the chairman had levelled against the victim on this occasion was that he had distributed handbills against a group of the commission’s officers during the Expressway bus owners’ agitation on 24th September.
The organization protecting the National passenger transport Commission says that it has informed the Private Transport Minister to take disciplinary action with regard to this assault.
Speaking further to our news team assaulted victim Chaminda Kumara said that there was an uncertainty about his life.
