Dispute over quorum during budget debate; decision changed.-Video
Political Party Leaders agreed today to withdraw the previous decision that insisted to obtain prior approval if a vote taking is required and to continue the budget debate even without a quorum in parliament.
The party leaders withdrew the decision after Galle District independent MP Ajith Kumara raised objections to the previous decision in parliament today.
To reintroduce the live television broadcast during the budget debate has also been discussed during the party leaders meeting today.
Political party leaders will take a final decision on live television debate when they meet again on the 23rd of this month.
Meanwhile the draft bill which is restricting land transfer to foreigners will be taken for debate in parliament today.
