Police canines have been used to trace the killers of a vegetable seller who was murdered using sharp weapons at Bakery Junction in Aththidiya.

However Senior Officer of the Mt.Lavinia Police Station told our news team that the motive of the killing has not yet been revealed.

Acting on a call on police emergency hotline, police found the body of the vegetable seller lying in his stall.

The victim has been identified as 43-year old Wickramage Wasantha Kumara of Paraththa in Panadura.

Police Media Spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana told our news team a Magistrate inquiry is scheduled to be held today.
