The Building Research Institute stated that the total number of missing persons in the Meeriyabedda landslide at Koslanda was 192.

Deputy Director of the centre Pradeep Kodipillai told our news team that according to latest statistics, members of 57 families had lived in Meeriyabedda.

Meanwhile rescue operations which were halted last evening restarted this morning.

According to our correspondent nearly 700 members of the tri forces have engaged in the rescue operations.

The rescue teams were able to unearth the debris of the Milk Center of Meeriyabedda this morning.

Despite the reports yesterday that 10 bodies were found, National Building Research Institute verified today that only 3 bodies of missing persons have been recovered.
