Investigations carried out so far revealed that the landslide-hit houses of Meeriyabedda have been pushed 300 meters away.

Central Province Security Commander Major General Mano Perera who is in charge of the rescue operations in landslide hit Meeriyabedda told our news team that soil has piled up to 20 feet high on the buried houses.

Meanwhile another body of a buried victim has been recovered this evening.
