The 2015 government budgetary service expenditure and the ceiling of government’s borrowing have been increased.
Having obtained Cabinet approval, the prime Minister has presented the new proposals to parliament today.
Accordingly, the government expenditure has been increased by 356 billion rupees while the ceiling of government borrowings has been increased up to 440 billion rupees.
The increased government expenditure has been allocated for the Finance and Planning Ministry.
73 thousand 910 million rupees have been allocated for its appropriations while 282 thousand 92 million rupees have been allocated for capital expenditure.
The wage increments, pensions, scholarship grants and new recruitments to the government service will include in government appropriation while capital expenditure will be used for postal services, community water projects, housing, urban development, fisheries, health, and agriculture.
