Meanwhile a group of officers attached to the National Building Research Institute has gone to Nuwara Eliya to identify land areas that are prone to earth slips.

At the same time, Nuwara Eliya District Secretary D.P.G. Kumarasiri told our news team that the Building Research Institute officers informed him not to send back the evacuated people to their original homes as those areas are still vulnerable to landslides.
