Survey to measure computer literacy of Teachers and Students

A survey to measure the computer literacy of teachers and students in addition to a census on computer facilities at schools will commence tomorrow.

To conduct the census, the Education Ministry which planned the study will collaborate with the Department of Census and Statistics as well as the Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka.

According to the Education Ministry, a survey was previously conducted in 2006 regarding the computer literacy of Teachers.

However, this will be the first survey conducted on computer literacy of students and a census on computer facilities at schools.
