Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe says that the Supreme Court opinion to be given on the possibility of running for a third term by the incumbent President has no validity.

Addressing a gathering of youths in Nugegoda area today, the Opposition Leader said there is no legal binding in such an opinion.

Meanwhile JVP stated the submissions with regard to this issue should not be forwarded secretly to the Supreme Court.

However addressing a ceremony held in Colombo yesterday Prime Minister D.M. Jayarathna expressed his views about the 18th Amendment intending the President to contest for a third term.
