Disaster Management Minister Mahinda Amaraweera states there is a possibility to stop search operations for the missing in Koslanda – Meeriyabadda land slide tragedy from tomorrow.

The Minister said attention was focused on this following requests made by the relatives of the missing.

Minister Amaraweera toured the area today and met with land slide hit victims in Meeriyabaddha.

Minister speaking to our news team stated that after considering the request made by the relatives, he advised the Army to take a final decision regarding the search operations.

Security commander of the Central Province Major General Mano Perera stated that the Army Commander was informed regarding the matter and following Army Commanders orders a final decision will be taken regarding the search operation.
