We have given an opportunity to the protestors to remove the President from his position : says Minister Nimal Siripala
Minister Nimal Siripala says that they have given an opportunity for the protestors who are aiming to remove the President from his position.
He stated this while attending a ceremony in Elagamuwa area, Kekirawa last evening.
The Minister added that the Opposition leader has said he will overturn Rajapaksa regime, and so they have given the opportunity to do so. However, he also said that they have provided the people with a united and undivided country to live independently. And this fact alone is enough for people to vote for President Mahinda Rajapaksa ten times.
Meanwhile, Minister S.M. Chandrasena who joined the occasion stated that the Opposition was unable to appoint a common candidate thus far.
He added that their party has taken all measures including choosing a candidate for the upcoming Presidential election. However, the opposition still haven’t selected a common candidate between Chandrika Bandaranaike, Karu Jayasuriya, Maduluwawe Sobhitha Thera and Ranil Wickramasinghe.
