India has played down the issue of Chinese submarines docking in the Colombo Port simply as an issue between the Sri Lankan Navy and Chinese.

Speaking to reporters in New Delhi, India's Navy Chief Admiral R K Dhowan has said the Chinese submarines are visiting Sri Lankan ports.

He added that the Chinese have never approached India for any replenishment for its submarines.

A Chinese Submarine and a warship arrived at the Colombo port on October 31st for a five-day visit for crew replenishment and refueling.

China has dismissed India's concerns saying that it is not unusual for its naval vessels to dock at Sri Lanka's Colombo Port.
