Prove the allegations; Sabaragamuwa students challenge the administration.
The students’ collective of the Sabaragamuwa University challenges its administration to prove the allegations of ragging that were leveled against the suspended students.
During a media conference convened in Balangoda, Students collective activist Rasindu Jayasinghe said 14 students were suspended with the intention of revenge.
Sabaragamuwa University administration suspended 4 students on the charges of entering a female hostel by force and another 10 students were suspended on the charges of ragging a group of new recruits.
However University Vice Chancellor Professor Chandana Udawatta told our news team that he has sufficient proof to the ragging incident.
He also said that the administration has no intention to take revenge from students.
