Common Candidate makes a pledge before Bandaranayaka monument.
The Common candidate for the forthcoming Presidential election and former minister Maithreepala Sirisena says he is still holding the SLFP General Secretary position.
Former minister Maithreepala visited the Bandaranaike Monument at Horagolla this morning and made a pledge in front of the Samadhi.
Former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga and several defected MPs including M.K.A.D.S. Gunawardana and Duminda Dissanayake and opposition MPs also attended the event.
Having made a pledge in front of the Bandaranaike Monument, common candidate Maithreepala Sirisena expressed his views to the media.
Meanwhile journalists queried him about the allegation of a political coup d’etat.
Former Minister Sirisena as well as former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga answered journalists in this manner.
