British Couple present in court for the identification parade with regard to Malaka Silva's assault case.
The foreign couple which was subjected to an assault in a Colombo night club has come to the Colombo Chief Magistrate Court for an identification parade.
Minister Mervin Silva’s son Malaka Silva and 6 others have been charged for launching an assault on a Scottish national and his English fiancée at a night club on Duplication Road on the 31st of last October.
Two Ministry Security Division officers attached to Minister Mervin Silva’s security are also among the suspects.
Our correspondent covering the case proceedings said that the suspects have been brought to the court for an identification parade.
The victims, James Casserly and Belinda McKancy are predicating in the identification parade.
Our correspondent said that Minister Mervin Silva is also present in the court today.
