Police have arrested 3 persons who commemorated dead LTTE cadres by extending greetings and distributing leaflets in Jaffna today.

Former LTTE leader Velupillai Prabhakaran’s birthday fell on November 26th, and the following day is named as Maha-veer Day to commemorate all LTTE cadres killed in action.

Police Media Spokesman’s office stated that police arrested two persons while they were remembering LTTE dead cadres over the phone in Valachchenai.

At the same time, police arrested another youth who printed leaflets titled ‘the beginning of the 5th Eelam War’ at Kodikamam area in Jaffna last Wednesday.
