UPFA national list MP A.H.M. Azwer resigned from his parliament post today.

Deputy Secretary General of Parliament Neel Idda-wela told our news team that Azwer handed over his resignation to Parliament Secretary General Dhammika Dasanayake.

Later it is reported that Eastern Provincial Councilor Ameer Ali of the All Ceylon People’s Congress led by Minister Richard Badiudeen has been proposed to the vacant seat.

However All Ceylon People’s Congress stated that the party has not decided yet whether to accept the new post.
