Indian National Security Adviser to meet Common Candidate Maithreepala Sirisena: Also to meet Former president Chandrika and UNP Leader Ranil
India’s Hindu newspaper reported that National Security Adviser Ajit Doval, who will arrive in Sri Lanka on Monday, will meet leaders of the newly-formed common Opposition, in addition to meeting with President Mahinda Rajpaksa.
Doval is on Monday scheduled to deliver the keynote address at ‘Galle Dialogue 2014,’ an international conference on maritime security and cooperation in Galle.
It was confirmed that the NSA was scheduled to meet President Mahinda Rajapaksa and during his meeting with the President and Defence Secretary Doval is expected to discuss maritime security in Sri Lanka and Maldives.
The Hindu reported that Doval, is expected to meet Maithripala Sirisena and former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga, who is backing him.
He is also expected to meet leader of the United National Party Ranil Wickremesinghe and representatives of the Tamil National Alliance and the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress.
