Only a stable government can do good for the country; President
President Mahinda Rajapaksa says that only a stable government could do good for a country.
The President stated that the citizens have the responsibility of maintaining the stability of the government.
President Rajapaksa expressed these views at a meeting that was held with Government Analysts and Officials of the Sri Lanka Scientific Services, at Temple Trees yesterday.
The President stated that good governance and safeguarding of law and order was at its best during this era.
Speaking further the President said that those who are unable to point the finger at defeating terrorism and development taking place are raising different allegations.
The President said that everyone should have a feeling towards the nation and that is why it was possible to combat terrorism.
Although the Opposition raised allegations of corruption during road development, the President stated that the road system has been improved in Sri Lanka.
