Uva provincial council opposition leader Hareen Fernando states that a great revolution can occur by the end of this week.
He said this while speaking during a media briefing held at UNP headquarters this morning, adding that great changes are taking place in local politics.
Meanwhile, Eastern Provincial Council Chairperson Ariyawathee Galappaththi adjourned today the council sittings until the 12th of January next year.
She took this decision in a party leaders meeting held after a tense situation erupted during the PC sittings.
A heated situation developed between the ruling members and the opposition in the UPFA ruled Eastern Provincial Council yesterday.
The tense situation erupted when the opposition demanded a vote on the appropriation of the Chief Minister in the next year’s budget.
The UPFA membership became the minority as 6 members of SLMC and other members of Rishard Badiudeen’s party, who are remaining independent at the moment were absent in the chambers during the heated argument.
