The All Island People’s Congress says that it has so far not decided on whether it’s Eastern provincial Councillor Ameer Ali will accept or reject the National List MP post the Government had proposed for him

However participating at a media briefing held in Colombo yesterday Minister Dullas Alahapperuma said that Eastern Provincial Councillor Ameer Ali was scheduled to take his oaths in parliament as an MP on 12th December.

Provincial Councillor Ameer Ali’s name had been proposed for the parliamentary seat rendered vacant as a result of UPFA MP A. HM. Asvar resigning his position as MP.

All Island People’s Congress General Secretary Y. L.S Hameed said further that discussions with party members were still going on with regard to the subject.
