Problematic situation to hold a fair election; says Malwathu Chief Prelate.
The Chief Prelate of the Malwathu Chapter Most Venerable Tibbatu-wawe Sri Sumangala Thera says that the holding of a fair Presidential election is problematic.
The Nayake Thera expressed these views when defected former minister Navin Dissanayake paid a courtesy call on the Nayake Thera at the Malwathu temple this morning.
Having obtained blessings of the Temple of the Tooth Relic, former Minister Dissanayake visited the Malwathu Temple.
Later Navin Dissanayake went to Asgiri Temple, paid a courtesy call on its chief prelate Most Venerable Udugama Sri Buddha-rakkita Thera and obtained his blessings as well.
During the conversation with MP Dissanayake, the Chief Prelate said that it was not wrong to take a decision without remaining in the government against one’s conscience.
Later, addressing the media, MP Navin Dissanayake said that the common candidate will win in the forthcoming Presidential election.
