Domestic gas price reduced by 250 rupees.

Minister of Co-operatives and Internal Trade stated that according to the instructions of President Mahinda Rajapakse the price of a 12.5 kilo gram domestic LP gas cylinder has been reduced by 250 rupees with effect from midnight yesterday.

Therefore the new price of a 12.5 kilo gram domestic LP gas cylinder will be 1896 rupees.

The government in October this year also slashed the LP gas prices by 250 rupees for a cylinder.

The government day before yesterday reduced the price of petrol and diesel by 7 rupees per litre while kerosene price was slashed by 5 rupees per litre.
