Political meetings near Ordinary level exam centres prohibited.
Police media spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana stated that they will not allow any political meetings or programs that would hinder the G.C.E. Ordinary Level examination.
Expressing his views at a media briefing held at Police Headquarters today, he added that strict legal action will be taken against those who act in a manner to hinder the exams.
According to the Exam Department, the G.C.E. Ordinary Level exam will be held from the 9th to 18th of this month, where 370 thousand 739 school candidates and 6,481 private candidates will sit for the exam.
The exam will be held in 4,279 exam centres island wide, and 38 thousand 200 staff are to be deployed.
Police media spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana added that special police protection will be given to every exam centre.
