Thissa challenges to check his value after January 8th.
Former UNP General Secretary Tissa Attanayake said that his value would be visible on January 8th.
He made this statement during a media conference held at Ape Gama premises at Battaramulla this morning.
UPFA General Secretary Susil Premajayantha, Nimal Siripala de Silva, Dallas Alahapperuma, Dinesh Gunawardana, Tissa Vitharana and Bandula Gunawardana also participated in the media briefing.
MP Jayantha Ketagoda who crossed over to the government from Democratic Party also participated in the media conference.
Addressing the media UNP former General Secretary Tissa Attanayake said that he decided to support President Mahinda Rajapaksa on three major factors.
He further said that he proposed the party leader as well as the common candidate openly that UNP should contest the election while preserving its identity.
Meanwhile a journalist asked UNP former General Secretary Tissa Attanayake whether he does not see any weakness in the present government.
Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva expressed his views about the mode of defection by former SLFP General Secretary Maithreepala Sirisena and former UNP General Secretary Tissa Attanayake.
