The prices of vegetables at the Dambulla Economic center have been increased sharply.

Several varieties of vegetables including cabbage, beans, carrot, green chilies and long beans are sold at prices between 150 to 300 rupees per kilogram.

The Dambulla economic Center trade association president U.B. Ekanayake said that inclement weather in the past several days was the main cause to soar vegetable prices.
