Only President can make reforms in the constitution; Wasudewa-Siyabalapitiya says rumours about him are false
National Languages and Social Integration Minister Wasudeva Nanayakkara says that only President Mahinda Rajapaksa can make reforms in the Constitution.
Addressing a media conference held in Colombo today, minister Nanayakkara further said the power should be devolved equally.
Meanwhile, the UPFA stated today that the group which supports the common opposition candidate has already 4 opinions with regard to the executive presidency.
Addressing a media conference held in Colombo today, its General Secretary Minister Susil Premajayantha said under such circumstances, the difference of opinions among the group is clearly visible.
Rumors were rife that Minister Ranjith Siyambalapitiya was going to join the common candidate during yesterday’s rally in Kandy.
Siyambalapitiya, who was present at the UPFA media briefing today stated that such rumors were false.
