The Disaster Management Centre says that the location subjected to land slide in Meeriaybaedda in Koslanda will in the future be declared a reservation.

Accordingly the Centre said that action would be taken to plant valuable plants in the land slide hit location.

Meanwhile relatives of those who disappeared as a result of the land slide in Meeriyabaedda in Koslanda told our news team that although the Government had ended operations in search of those who had disappeared, groups of outsiders keep coming to the place in the night and carry out excavations.

Residents say that the Government should focus its attention on this as they are suspicious about the activities of these outsiders.

Our news team inquired about this from the Koslanda police.

A senior Koslanda Police Station spokesman said that no such complaint had been received from the villagers.

We inquired about this from the National Disaster management centre as well.

The National disaster management centre officer said that he had not received any complaint about this from residents.
