Leave for postal workers of all grades have been cancelled until the Presidential election is over.

Post Master General Rohana Abeyrathna said cancellation of leave for postal workers during an election time is a usual phenomenon.

He also told our news team that 85% of the postal ballot papers which were handed over to the department on the 15th of this month have been distributed.

Meanwhile Government printer Lalith de Silva said that steps are being taken to interdict a worker who allegedly photographed ballot papers under printing in the department.
