SEYLAN BANK CONDUCTS TRADE SEMINARS FOR IT'S CLIENTS WHO ARE ENGAGED IN "INTERNATIONAL TRADE".
Seylan Bank’s International Dept. conducted three International Trade seminars for the year for it’s Branch clients island wide. The first seminar was held in Kurunegala covering Trade clients attached to Kurunegala,Kuliyapitiya,Narammala and Mawathagama.
The second seminar was held at Hotel Clarion Kiribathgoda. The branches covered under, this programme were Kiribathgoda, Kadawtha,Gampaha,Minuwangoda,Nittambuwa,Yakkala and Ganemulla.
The third seminar was targeted towards the clients of the central region. The seminar was held at hotel Oak Ray Regency Kandy. The branches covered included Kandy,Kegalle,Nuwara Eliya,Gampola, Matale and Hatton.
Topics covered were “the Latest developments affecting the international trade transactions”, “Foreign Exchange and Interest Rates Behaviour”and “Marine Insurance Your Freedom to Trade”. The speakers were Mr. Sarath Kumarasiri Assistant General Manager-International, Seylan Bank PLC, Mr. Uditha Kaluarachchi Senior Dealer Seylan Bank PLC and Mr. Tanuj Edward, Assistant General Manager-Motor Insurance, AIA Insurance respectively.
The presentations were followed by a very interactive Q & A session.
Each Seminar was attended by over 50 participants from various organization engaged in international trade. The participants were thereafter presented with a token of appreciation and hosted for lunch. The seminars were well patronized and the participants highly appreciated the gesture of the bank in imparting the customers with valuable knowledge on current trends in international trade finance & related fields.
