IMF states it is concerned about the 100 day programme
The International Monetary Fund states that they are keenly observing the government’s 100 day programme.
Releasing a communiqué the Ministry of Finance stated that this was revealed at the annual meeting of the IMF held in Washington DC.
During the meeting, IMF representatives have expressed that they are pleased regarding the concessions given to the people through the 100 day plan.
They have also stated that they are pleased to extend further support to Sri Lanka.
Meanwhile, Minister of Finance Ravi Karunanayake, who is participating in the IMF annual meeting, has held talks with the Deputy Managing Director of the IMF Mitsu-hiro Furu-sawa as well as the Finance Minister of India.
