The Lanka Petroleum Corporation and Lanka IOC rejected certain reports which stated that there is a shortage of fuel supply.

A senior spokesman of the Corporation said that the corporation has to bear a 25 rupees loss per liter of petrol, and one rupee per diesel liter due to the increase of fuel prices in the world market.

He said distribution of fuel has not been limited however, and measures would be taken to offset the loss when the new price formula is introduced soon.

Meanwhile Lanka IOC Managing Director Subod Dakwale told our news team that despite a loss by selling fuel in Sri Lanka, the company has not curtailed storage or distribution of fuel supply.
