Special train service for three days facilitating over 40,000 free train tickets
In commemoration of the Poson season Etisalat Lanka offered free train shuttle service between Anuradhapura and Mihintale, under their Corporate Social Responsibly initiative. Titled “Poson Sadhaham Vandana” the free train shuttle service was available from the 1st to 3rd June, 2015 for all Sri Lankans.
Conducted in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Railway Department, the Etisalat special train shuttle service completed over 70 trips during its three day run. Any passenger who wished to travel between the two locations to visit the sacred cities or travel to their hometown were able to obtain tickets free of charge for the duration of the initiative, which gave away more than 40,000 tickets.About Etisalat Sri Lanka:
