The Central bank says that it has observed an increase in the country’s foreign reserves.

Foreign reserves as at 22nd of June stood at 7.6 billion rupees.

Central Bank says that the amount is likely to increase within the next few months.

The country’s Foreign Reserves have increased following the sales of sovereign bonds of the world market as well as with the foreign exchange agreement made with India.

The value of Sri Lanka’s total foreign reserves amount to 9.1 billion dollars, and it is sufficient for Imports for a period of 5.6 months .
