The International Monetary Fund and European Commission said that representatives of Greece's creditors will begin talks in Athens today, on a third bailout package to the debt-swamped Greek government.

The European Union, IMF, and the European Central Bank make up the so-called "troika" of Greece's creditors.

In hammering out details of a third bailout package for Greece of up to 86 billion euros, those 3 organisations will be joined by a fourth negotiator, the European Stability Mechanism.
