The Czech Republic has expressed willingness to support the development of Sri Lanka’s transport and civil aviation sectors.
Meeting with Sri Lanka’s Minister of Transport Nimal Siripala de Silva, the New Delhi-based Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Sri Lanka Milan Hovorka recalled the long standing friendly relations between the two countries and said his country was ready to support Sri Lanka on any occasion.
A Czech business delegation comprising Czech companies active in the field of energy and transport is in Colombo from May 2-4, 2016 to explore investment opportunities.
Minister de Silva said that there are many opportunities for investments in the island nation following the development that is taking place under the present Government’s economic and trade policies.
A group including the Sri Lankan Ambassador to the Czech Republic Dr. Lohitha Samarawickrema was present at this meeting.
