Prices of vegetables has shot up due to the adverse weather conditions that is continuing to cause rains around the island.

Traders say the prices are high as demand has surpassed the supply in vegetables.

A kilo of all veggies are sold at over Rs. 160, while a kilo of green beans has reached Rs. 200, kilo of capsicum is Rs. 280 and carrot Rs. 200.
