Sri Lanka SEC sets minimum public float limits
Sri Lanka's securities watchdog has set 'minimum public float' requirements of 20 percent for the main board of island's stock exchange and 10 percent for the second, to keep companies listed.
The rules are coming in response to calls from sections of well-meaning interventionist market participants to coerce controlling shareholders to reduce their stakes and expand liquidity in shares.
