The story of the world's oldest roadie Ben Dorcy soon to be a documentary
One of Willie Nelson's daughters is working on a new documentary, not on the famous musician, but on one of his road crew members, or in other words, roadies.
90-year-old Ben Dorcy, who has been with Willie since the 1960s is best known as the longtime roadie of Willie Nelson and is a mainstay in country music circles.
The story of the first roadie ever, and also the oldest, is soon to become a documentary shot and directed by some of Willie’s closest family members.
“King of The Roadies” is also to be narrated by Willie himself, and the filmmakers hope to make the best film they can about a man who was known for his problem-solving skills on tour.
