High School Musical starlet Venessa Hudgens came under fire for carving boyfriend Austin Butler’s and her name into a rock in the Coconino National Forest in northern Arizona on St. Valentine’s Day.

The couple had allegedly defaced the rocks while spending a romantic weekend together.

Not wanting to keep all that love to herself, Hudgens posted a picture of the carving on Instagram and captioned it saying, “Happy Valentine’s Day boo boo bears.”

The post instantly attracted the attention of officials who commenced an investigation into it.

America has a federal law prohibiting individuals from harming or damaging natural surfaces or property of the states.
