Songstress Adele dominated the Brit Awards last night, winning four top awards. She took home awards for best British female solo artist, British single, best album of the year and Brits global success award.
Adele who recorded her chart topping album ‘25’ after a break said, "To come back after so long away and be so warmly received means so much."
When she took the stage after winning her first award, Adele made sure to speak up and pledge her support to Kesha, who lost a lawsuit to record her music independently from her producer Dr. Luke. She claimed that the producer mentally and physically abused her.
“And I would like to take this moment to publicly support Kesha,” she said in her speech.
“I’d like to thank my label for embracing the fact that I’m a woman and being encouraged by it,” she added.
Adele also treated the crowd at Brit Awards with her recently released ‘We Were Young’.
