‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ bags six awards at Oscars



The 88th Academy Awards, in Hollywood, is heating up as Oscar winners are being announced.

Mad Max: Fury Road is taking home six awards including award for Costume Design- Jenny Beavan, Film Editing- Margaret Sixel and Production Design Colin Gibson (production design); Lisa Thompson (set decoration)

The Revenant cinematographer, Emmanuel Lubezki, also made history by winning three consecutive Oscars.

Best Actress in a Supporting Role was awarded to Alicia Vikander for her work in The Danish Girl.

Meanwhile, the Oscar host Chris Rock put the event right into the limelight by his controversial remarks. In his monologue he said, "This is the wildest, craziest Oscars to ever host because there are no black nominees," he said adding "People were like, 'Chris, you should boycott. Chris, you should quit.’”
