Late Indian television actress Pratyusha Banerjee’s boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh was on Sunday hospitalised after he complained of chest pain and low blood pressure while he was being questioned for the second consecutive day in connection with the actress’ alleged suicide.

Rahul, whose role in the circumstances that led to Pratyusha’s alleged suicide is being investigated, complained of uneasiness, chest pain and low pressure while he was being questioned in connection with his ex-girl friend’s death.  He was immediately taken to the Shree Sai Hospital, where he was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Two days after the “Balika Vadhu” television serial fame allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself to a ceiling fan, the investigators searched the actress’ flat in Harmony residency building at Goregaon in north Mumbai for clues leading to Pratyusha taking the extreme step of ending her life.

Informed police sources said that the investigators had found two mobile phones from Pratyusha’s flat. The police have ruled out any financial angle to the circumstances leading to the actress’ suicide.

Rahul, whom the investigators see as a logical suspect in the case, has come under the intense scanner of the police for his failed love relationship with Pratyusha. Going by the accounts provided by her friends and those who had known her, Pratyusha was reportedly upset with Rahul for not honouring her intense love for him.

The investigators, who have been mobile data of both Pratyusha and her boyfriend, have been questioning Rahul about the nature of his relations with the actress and the kind of interactions they were having for the past one week before her alleged suicide.

The investigators are trying to ascertain if there was any discord between the couple. They have so far not found any evidence to suggest that Rahul abetted Pratyusha’s alleged suicide. (Indian media reports)
