Becoming the highest-grossing animated debut of all time Pixar and Disney sequel ‘Finding Dory’ has already earned $136.2 million from 4,305 theaters.
About 13 years after ‘Finding Nemo’ hit theaters, its sequel has landed the biggest domestic opening of all time. The previous record holder was ‘Shrek the Third’ in 2007, which earned $121.6 million in its debut.
‘Finding Dory’ is also named the second-largest June opening of all time, with ‘Jurassic World’ in the No. 1 position.
The cute animation came to life with the voices of Ellen DeGeneres and Albert Brooks.
