Selena Gomez's mother "not happy" about Justin Bieber reunion

Selena Gomez's mother Mandy Teefey is "not happy" about the singer's renewed romance with Justin Bieber but is not interfering in her daughter's life.

The two rekindled their romance late last year.

In December, media reported that Gomez's family is "not happy" about her relationship with Justin and is worried about the "Come and Get It" singer, who had a secret kidney transplant over the summer.

"She is 25 years old and knows what is at stake with her health. I do not control her the way it has been portrayed," Gomez's mother said. "Selena is an adult and can make her own choices."

Selena's notorious ex dated her on and off for three years until their 2014 split.

Since their November 2017 reunion, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber have been spending a lot of time together.

The mom explained that she stopped working with Selena in 2014 for no other reason than that it was no longer enjoyable for any member of the family.

She said: "Every mother and daughter has disagreements. We never expected to manage her her whole life. We lost family time because the only time we saw her, we talked business. It was no longer fun for any of us, like it was when she was younger and we had to be with her because she was a minor.”

However, neither Selena nor Justin have spoken out about Mandy's comments so far.
