Ever since Rekha has been nominated for the Rajya Sabha seat, speculations are rife as to how Amitabh Bachchan would react to the news.
Especially as those who know Rekha closely were surprised with the fact that she accepted the offer to be a Parliamentarian.
The reason being, Rekha is known to detest politics.
In her biography, it was clearly mentioned that she abhorred politics so much so that at one point in time, she even stopped subscribing to any newspaper.
So, recently when Amitabh was promoting Ram Gopal Varma's Department, he was asked if he was comfortable working with Rekha and whether the two would be seen together in a film anytime soon.
"Why not? Well, if someone comes to me with a good script, and I like it, I'd surely do a film with her," Amitabh replied promptly.
It seems all the daring filmmakers who wish to offer something new to the audience can think on the lines of bringing the two actors together on screen.
There are reports that Rekha is coming out of her self imposed exile.
She will be seen in Parliament as a Rajya Sabha member and in the mid-year, she will also be seen judging the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa.
Meanwhile Amitabh Bachchan's new avatar in Department is getting rave reviews.
The film also stars Sanjay Dutt and Rana Daggubati in lead roles.
