Hollywood actor Jeremy Renner has signed up to play in this year's charity Soccer Aid match.

The Oscar-nominated Hurt Locker star will play as part of the Rest of the World team, to be managed by Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho.

He joins previously announced team mates James McAvoy and Michael Sheen, who will take on a group of celebrities and footballers representing England.

Renner follows in the footsteps of Hollywood actors Will Ferrell, Woody Harrelson, Mike Myers, Edward Norton and Gerard Butler - all of whom have taken part in previous matches.
